Florida and Connecticut have no nail exam, so there is no exam guide to write for them.

How a state guide gets made

Each guide covers the same things, in the same order: the training hours, the written exam, the practical exam if there is one, the fees, the languages on offer, and what happens if you need a retake.

We take every fact from the state board, the testing vendor's candidate bulletin or the state's published exam statistics. Then the facts are checked again, against the state's own sources, before the page goes live.

The Texas nail tech guide is the first one live. It shows what every state guide will look like. For exam pass rates across states, see licensing exam pass rates, with sources.
